Happy Sabbath everyone. This weeks nature photo is of a faithful blackbird keeping watch over its friends and family at a grocery store parking lot. Like this handsome bird, we are called to watch for danger and to give that certain warning sound so that our friends and family can flee from danger.

Sabbath Afternoon Fun: Bible Mini Quiz Psalms 2: 1 Level 1
Wow, another year is coming to an end. With all that is happening we have to ask, how much longer do we have before Jesus comes back? Can we look at the increasing upheaval of the world around us, the rise in crime, the political and social unrest, and the acceptance of crime by people and governments and truthfully say that we have years and decades to come? How much longer before God must stop and say sorry to Sodom and Gonorrhea? How long before we reach our own tower of Babel point where God must step in and say if I do not stop them now, they will be able to do whatever evil their heart desires?
This blessed Sabbath day is definitely a good time to search our hearts to see if we have truly counted the cost and determined once and for all that we are willing to give up everything for Jesus.
And may this simple Bible quiz not only test your knowledge of the Bible but also help you to hide it within your heart so that when you need it, it can guide your feet and help you to be a light upon a hill sharing His love and truth with others.

Sabbath Afternoon Fun:Bible Quiz Word Search Edition Psalms 139:13-14
Happy Sabbath. I know that I am feeling extra grateful for the Sabbath right now as things have been rather crazy around here. Our house is sold and we have to find a new home within the next few days, but it seems like as soon as our house sold the market dried up. It is a very discouraging situation, but we are determined to put our trust in God as we lift our voice in prayer and pleading to Him multiple times a day.
During this time of stress it is a great blessing to be able to put aside the stress of house hunting and simply commune with God. How wonderful it is to have a day where the stress of this life can be laid aside for a few hours, yet still able to lift up our petitions to His compassionate ear.
May you find rest from your burdens this Sabbath day and know the pleasure of laying all your cares and worries upon Him.
